Fernando Gastaldo - Geometric Sculptor / Designer

His love for art from an early age derived him as an artist linked to music and sculpture. A tireless traveler since his adolescence, he explored different cultures around the world, giving him a wealth that would give rise to a personal deepening of the most transcendent.

From the Platonic solids and several years of research ,he defined a system with which he would have the ability to perceive and evolve a polyhedron to a fractal structure. An architectural style that starts from a unique and infinite geometric pattern.

Fernando has been transforming his work to the point of living an enigma of universal mystery. Closely related to the alternative community and from the bases of sacred geometry books, several practices related to meditation and energetic channeling by points. Concepts such as the geometrization of the spirit develop an exhaustive study towards a whole process of evolution of consciousness in his work called "Geosphere"

 It's Liquid Interview

- What are you currently working on?

As always happens to me, my life has a creative center and from there, like a sphere in motion,I embrace many artistic and design activities at the same time. I never stop! Although my creations start from the geometric and with objects from the practical world, my creations always seek the mystical content.

Today my world has simultaneous projects, of which some have already taken life as art or design. My creativity goes from the smallest, like designing a toy with Geospheres with lights for childrens to something more in between, such as the creation of bright spaces for events, and at the same time I also approach immense architectural spaces by creating several elaborated models for habitable areas, such as a spaces that are dimensioned in three layers, a project that I call "Geosphere Design".

-What's your background?

-What is the experience that has influenced your work the most?

I was born in a middle class neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and grew up in the jungle of the streets,In those times my grandmother inspired me with mandalas and creating geometric objects with her hands and then more inspiration came along amazing friends ,artists and musicians along the way.

Music led me to many changes of states of consciousness and to understand and take new paths.

30 years ago I began my life as a pilgrim, traveling around the world and having as my main objective approach the Sacred Geometry in all its expressions.

Once I had a visionary experience with a Geosphere and my life totally changed. I started the path of spirituality, coming today to live in unlimited contact with my creation,

at all hours, every day, my creative energy starts from a reality that I see, that is spherical and that fills me with passion.

In the last years of meditation guide me to new states of consciousness that confirm my here and now. With great confidence I must say out loud that "spirituality goes far beyond art".

- Which is the role the artist plays in society?

- And contemporary art?

Since I was a child I wanted to change the world, which of course I did not understand. Today I still feel the same but with a totally futuristic look. And I have no doubt that my art and my designs will be strongly inspiring for many architects, smart cities will be inspired by my aesthetics and my design forms. These immense living spaces will have better infrastructures and advanced connections for greater social, environmental and economic development. I am happy to be able to influence dismantling projects with my ideas and feelings. populous cities with millions and millions of people living stuck.

We are many that want to attack pollution, congestion and even dilute many social inequalities. In this way, I am also putting myself on the side technology and at the service of radical changes. The Universe moves and changes dizzily, the Geospheres are moving high speed trying to follow it. Contemporary art in humanistic service is a way. My time has come to put my whole life in this task of change and reform. My creation with Sacred Geometry looks for that!

- What is your creative process like?

My creative process is all manual and supported by my own techniques. This is how I manage to expand from the core of Platonic solids and Archimedeans, multidimensional layers that I can repeat without limit. The materials used so far range from the simplest, such as bamboo poles to metals of the most sophisticated. Technology, lights and even sound are integrated in the same way as the tissues within my spheres.
